In the lower level, in the very same laboratory and machine shop that Gasser ran a Chemical Photo Laboratory, San Francisco innovators are deeply engaged in creative research and development pursuits of various products. FOCUS Innovation Studio fosters the growth of these emerging innovators, scientists, and makers on the very same 75+ year old benchtops used by Mr. Gasser. His innovative legacy is truly felt in every square foot of 181 2nd Street.
FOCUS Innovation Studio’s ground floor continues to be dedicated to the public as an art and retail collective. Currently featured is Will Wick Design House and Gallery Keoki. Due to Covid-19, viewing is by appointment only.
The Ground Floor serves as the primary event space reservable for corporate meetings, happy hours, and networking events.
In the former offices of the Gasser Photography building, there are now the core dedicated desk and private offices of FOCUS. All office support services and amenities are found on this floor. FOCUS has partnered with MRC 360 who is the Bay Area’s largest technology and services company specializing in managed print services, workflow solutions, and office systems.
FOCUS upholds the innovative spirit with our second and third-floor shared office space designed for flexible and affordable lease rates. Private offices, dedicated desks, and hot desks; we will host companies for as long as they need. Our unique building is able to hold lectures, events, and large meetings. From the 3rd floor, members are able to access the roof deck, permitted strictly for private member usage.
